I predict he will hit about 48 of them, because of the fact he has Manny hitting behind him, thus getting those nice fat pitches to hit . Ortiz will also stay fresh throughout the season considering he's a DH and sits on his rear and about 150 games a year when other players are out there playing defense throughout the summer months. If he was really a team guy, he'd volunteer to play first once or twice a week to give Manny a breather from playing the outfield, but NO, that isn't going to happen.

If he stays healthy, and Manny doesn't fake an injury like last year, and if the Sox are in the hunt, he could very well hit 60. He would have hit 60 last year, but he missed many games with those heart palpitations.

Imagine that...the 3-4 hitters combine to hit over 100 homeruns...has that been done since Maris and Mantle???

He's still either the #1 or 2 DH in the league(only Hafner can even come close)and he's in his prime.I see somthing like 40-48 home runs my exact prediction being 43.Manny is still there for protection but if he does get traded during the season his HR totals will drop slightly.

Well if he and Manny are both able to stay healthy I would say around 50 give or take about 3-4 home runs, by the way I say Manny gets around 45

Stays healthy, he should hit close to 50 HRs. Give or take a few. He's a monster at the plate. Bosox and Yanks should have another dog fight season.
