Why is this name becoming more popular over the past few years, I think its strange because I thought Kennedy was typically a last name?

It is sometimes a last name but it is a cute first name too. What I like about it is it can be for male or female. My friend was going to name her kid Kennedy Emilia Hope but went will Madelyn Emilia Hope. I really love this name!

I think it's an interesting name. I would consider it if I were having a child. Something like Kennedy Rose or Kennedy Soraya. The only problem is the immediate connotation to the Kennedy family. And also, what to call her for short- cause Kennedy is a pretty long name.

First, do I like it? If you use it for a middle name. I don't like it as well as I once did because of that witch on the former gameshow "Friend Or Foe." She always looked like she was angry with the world and that her face would freeze.
The "big deal" with Kennedy: Many people remember the good things Kennedy did when he was President, be that ever so brief as it was. Horror of horrors, some people may have LIKED the lady I was referring to from the old gameshow! Yikes! Name suggestion using Kennedy as a middle name, for what it's worth: Avonna Kennedy; Using it as a first name: Kennedy Rochelle (one of my friend's has a daughter named Rochelle--pronounced Roe shell). I think that's so pretty.

You might name a girl "Kennedy" for some relative of that name. Otherwise it is faked. Baby girls have a disturbing habit of turning into women so remember, you are not naming a baby, you are naming a woman.

Watch out that your chosen distinctive name isn't shared by a quarter of the kids in a school class. Happens all the time.

I know 2 little girls named Kennedy. I honestly don't like or dislike it, but I will say every time I hear it, the first thing that comes to my mind is the dead President Kennedy.

I love the name! The fact that some say it is masculine or sounds like a boy is wonderful. I think girls named Kennedy grow up to be strong women! Its a strong name.

I do like the name Kennedy. You could change the spelling to Kennadie. It reminds me of a beautiful little blonde curly haired girl. I think the name became popular after John F Kennedy Jr died when his plane crashed into the ocean.

I know it has become popular but I don't like it. There are so many beautiful names for girls, that I cannot understand naming a girl the last name of a slain President. If you like to name a girl how about Kathleen, Kaitlynn, Kate, Kassandara to name a few.

Yes, it's cute. If you notice the new trend is using last names for first names. Kennedy, Riley and Warner for examples.
