I am buying a G35 this week and want to take my old subwoofers from my last car and put them in the G35, but my enclosures are too large for the G35. I was wondering if anyone had tried to install 2 12 inch Infiniti subwoofers, and if so, what enclosure(s) did you buy????

P.S. I've already been on www.crutchfield.com.

you would get better sound quality with just 1...less space needed because 2 -12in. subs don't =24 you only gain very little by having 2. only a sound meter could show you. you won't have to worry about one not firing at the exact same time...does happen all the time..distortion. and you don't have to worry about phase either. the best boxes i have seen are single sub's...15's or 18's..12's can do great for the money because the need for mid base is minimal compared to 15's and 18's for fill. which in turn if you only have 1 sub you now have extra room for mids in the same box..sealed from each other of course. i personally like a sealed 4th order bandpass enclosure. goes low and knock you down unseal it and you massage your body. both ways are great. 1 is better than 2 when it comes to subs but if it is for status quo or crap like that it don't matter. any one who's been to fosgate school knows what i'm talking about.

the previous post is a reason why you shouldnt but honestly to just answer your question. yes you can. you need a custom setup which means you'll lose your trunk space. a good car audio shop should be able to fiberglass it. I suggest going for 2 10s instead. There are various custom boxes you can buy online.

My personal favorite is the 4080 Enclosure. It fits in our trunk on the left or right side (or both) It's slightly more expensive but hey, its worth having the trunk space.

I hope that helps. Personally I have a 4080 (single) with an Infinity Kappa Perfect 10". It sounds pretty good and I retained the majority of my trunk space. Hope this helps.
