You'll have to be more specific about what kind of "noise" you hear. An engine DOES make sound when it's accelerating.

you are using the cheapest gas you can find and it is causing your motor to have valve clatter----- try a tank full of premium and perhaps that will cure the problem --- otherwise if that ain't the answer then you need a pro mechanic to get the engine running smooth and clatter-free ===== it's also possible that the Honda has a bad motor mount or something loose that does not show-up when you open the hood to check and look..............

more than likely you are hearing valve noise, due to not haveing a valve adjustment every 30k miles...that is guessing on the noise...be more specific.. and then I will give you more information...
