OUT OF SIGHT IS OUT OF MIND.

The main objectives of advertising are:

* to create awareness among their customers
* to explain them that they are different from their competitors
* to remind their customers that they are available
* to communicate about their product features, promotion activities etc.

80% of advertising being carried out is "reminder advertising" i.e you need to tell customers that "you are there". Even though you are a market leader in your product if you do not remind the customers slowly you can find your customers moving to your competitors.

So with lots of customers but without advertisements will not show any changes in short term, but in long term the market will definitely shrink.

Well, the customers do the marketing for them at that point, right? I would say Kudos - let the people spread the word!!!
