Great college receiver, horrible pro. Never put much effort into improving himself and got by on his natural talent in college, but that won't cut it the pros. On September 2, 2006, Rogers was released by the Lions. According to Lion coach Rod Marinelli, Rogers simply wasn't good enough to make his team, which values hard work over raw talent. "We picked the men that are right for this football team", said Marinelli.
So now Rogers is one of the bigger busts in recent draft history (#2 overall).

He was cut by Detroit and spent a year away from the NFL. I hear he is now trying out for the Miami Dolphins. hopefully he can ressurect his career and become something special.
