If you want to throw a disc far, should you throw it into the wind, or with the wind behind it?

It depends on the type of flying disc.

With a normal, solid, thick-edged one, you do better throwing it with the wind, because drag is decreased.

With a thin ring like an Aerobie, drag is very low and the fact the ring is moving with high airspeed translates into more lift. So these type actually fly further into a headwind. It's easy to throw one of these over 100 metres between players.
