hi today i got a small stone chip on my windshield of about quarter inch....

what is the way to get it repaired

i just checked again, from out side or in side the car. i can not feel it but it is inside the glass i believe...
so how much it will cost or should i leave it like this

There are companies that fix them, also you can get a kit at the auto parts and do it yourself.

The best way is to get a new windshield. If the chip does not get any bigger, and is not in your direct line of sight, then you can probably leave it alone.
There are companies that will tell you they can "Repair" the windshiled by vacuuming it at filling with epoxy. It dosn't work. It will turn yellow after a while and the spot will remain noticable.

There are companies that can fill these kinds of small chips with a clear epoxy resin, which will become invisble, and you won't have to replace the windshield. Look in the yellow pages under glass repair or windshield repair.

call your insurance company and they will have a glass co. come out and fill the chip with a resin for nothing and then if your not happy with the repair they will put a new windshield in for your $100. glass deductible, when they fill it with the resin you will be able to see it.
