As ridiculous the idea is, what if Bill Gates pulled a Umbrella Corp?

Just think about it, what if, just what if he decieded to invest into medical company's, even military technology? Is it plausable? Is Microsoft really taking over the world? I mean its already costing billions of dollars getting Vista in most establishments. What you guys think?

Well he could, and to some degree is diversifying I am sure. But from the press I’ve been reading it sounds like the major portion of his wealth is going into his foundation.

But yes he really could buy strong positions in many industries, ala Tyco or the Japanese Kiretsu – it is just another name for monopoly.
