why do we have different voices? what causes this difference? can the voice of two different persons be same?

Voice happens due to the vibration of vocal chords when air passes over them.If this is so,what causes some persons to be able to sing and others to have a "besura" voice! what is the causal factor behind this?

Vocal cords come in different lengths and thicknesses and even, to some extent, flexibilities. Other factors in the voice are shape, size, and contour of the mouth, throat, nasal passages, teeth, and tongue.
