First of all what makes you think you won't do this again? Second, What was distracting you or holding you back from showing love towards him? It (PMS) sounds like an excuse. Is this the best you can come up with. I think you need to see a head doctor you have some personal issues that you need to work out before you mess with anybody else's heart.

I don't mean to be rude, but I wouldn't have had my heart broken by "a foul mood/PMS". It takes more than that, unless you said some really shitty things. Even so, if he truly loves you, he'll get over it. Otherwise, his love is not mature and full. Apologizing always helps.

Well sweetheart. I know you only want men answers but i felt compelled to answer this. I have the most awful PMT with times of extreme hostility and violence. Can't help the damn thing. I have been with my man for 2 years and he has stood by me through the whole thing where no one else ever has.
That in my opinion is true love. Is yours?

You are asking from a state of naivety ~ in that 'you can get or make someone love you.'
People 'love' others for various reasons. my understanding of loving someone is something like one person being 'a key which fits the lock of another.'
But 'love' itself is very complex and difficult as it means all things to all people. Often we use the words we hear from others to describe what we feel because ~ we lack the vocabulary of it, of those feelings and share an inability to give those feelings shape, or colour or tone and shape.
So, you failed in 'not giving when you should have.'
Maybe he failed in 'not being understanding when he should have'!
You have had a valuable lesson from Life itself. i hope that you manage to put it to good use ~ as in perhaps educating other Men & Women to articulate their feelings ~ AND ~ to Listen.
Good luck to you.

Good luck in finding your "best" answer!! A broken heart that has truley loved is not male or female. Search your own heart and the pains+woes you've felt. Perhaps you'll "see" the answer thru your own tear stained eyes. Good luck

Can you come back and re-post after you've sobered up! You start off asking for men to answer then ask about men and then talk about things from a womans view? sorry I'm puzzled?

If you broke his heart then he really loved you and probably still does ... that's whats in your favour!!
Just show him you still care and offer him your love once more and if he's got any sense he'll be yours again. If he acts miserable at first and behaves like the world owes him a huge debt then just take it on the chin and persevere as us guys like to make you feel real guilty if you've upset us .... not to be mean, but i think it's in our genes to react like that.
