Hey! I like stories with great well developed characters you can "get into" - like you are actually participating in the story.

My favorite is Stu Redman from Stephen King’s the stand. Not that everyone could identify with this type of character (I think characters that match your own personality are best) but I was really drawn into King’s story by this character.

I like romantic comedies and slice-of-life stories. When my mood is darker, I go for dramas and mystery/suspense. If I'm curious about something, I'll read non-fiction books about it.

Science fiction stories with mostly plausible content and positive social motives.

I like an easy read. Something interesting with a hook at the end of eveywhere chapter. Any genre, really.
