It is best to try to sleep on your left side. BUT, you can sleep on your right side.
Try to start off on your left side and do not worry if you go to your right during the night.
And when watching tv laying down lay down on your left side.
If you have any swelling the doctor will tell you to lay only on your left. (feet, face, legs)
To compensate you can also do stretching exercises before bed and after wake to increase your blood flow. This will help you mostly. But can not hurt the baby not to stretch.

you dont have to sleep on your left side. It does improve blood flow to the baby and dr's suggest that once in a while you lie on your left side. I personally sleep however i feel more comfortable. Sometimes thats on my left, sometimes m right. I used to sleep on my belly all the time but its no comfortable anymore (26 wks). For some reason I cant sleep on my back because I feel like i am suffocating. Pretty much its what you feel most comfortable with. Once you enter your third tri mester, you will need to count the baby's kicks after dinner (10 an hour) so the dr recommends that you lie on your left side.

No, there`s no problem with sleeping on your right side unless otherwise stated by a doctor, generally for blood pressure reasons.... It is just a suggestions to sleep on your left because the blood does flow a lot better.
But ìf you and your baby are otherwise healthy there`s no reason you can`t sleep on your right side.

Sleeping on your left side is more prescribed due to better blood flow. However, sleeping on your right side is a-okay too. Most doctors say give it a whirl on your left side but okay to switch if needed. They do not recommend sleeping on your back though. Getting your sleep is vital to baby's growth too. If you aren't healthy, baby won't be either.
Don't fret girl. Get some rest. Sleeping on your right side will not cause harm to baby!!!!!

Absolutely not! You can lay on whichever side you can get comfortable on. Just stay off your back and belly. Trust me there will plenty of time to be uncomfortable, try to get the best sleep you can now. When you feel like a beached whale, neither side is going to be fun....congratulations and good luck

at this early stage in pregnancy it really doesn't matter what position you sleep in, in the later stages its ok to sleep on either side, just try to stay off your back as that can constrict blood flow, but don't worry, as your body will tell you if its time to move (often you become dizzy or sick feeling on your back). Relax, you're not going to harm the baby :)

My son is just fine
