My doctor suggested feeding my son more. She said that the baby was using up all the milk he was getting, so he didn't have enough left over for 'waste,' though I was feeding according to guidelines I was given. Sure enough, I upped his formula by an ounce each time, and he became regular.

She also suggested taking his temp with a rectal thermometer, just because that stimulates many babies to use the bathroom. Also, she said if none of that worked, a warm (not hot) bath with baking soda in it.

Try an ounce of Dark Karo Syrup in four ounces of formula. There are two kinds of Karo Syrup and only the dark one works for constipation.

My daugher was constipated a lot as a baby. We used to pump her legs like she was riding a bicycle and 10 minutes later, she would finally be able to poop. A couple times we did have to resort to suppositories but please ask you doctor before you do that because your baby is still very young. Good luck!

My twin boys were preemies and we used dark Caro syrup (suggested by our dr) which worked for a week or so and then we had to resort to suppositories. I am not sure if you are bf or not but if you are it may be the dairy in your diet that is causing the problem. I cut out the dairy and within a week they were pooping like pros :)
