As long as you make no domestic arrangement --- i.e., live with someone, it is at your comfort level. Some women are just delighted to be rid of the guy, and want some time. Others never wanted to be alone, and so seek a companion right away.

Good luck, hon

Really there is no answer....it all depends if your ready to move on. If your worried about the legality of the whole thing you should divorce before dating other ppl you could lose everything on infidelity it doesnt matter if your living in the same house or seperate homes if your still married legally its still a binding marital contract unless you get a damm good lawyer. Good luck to you

I think it depends on how the relationship ended. If it was a mutal break-up that both people though hurt are ok with it then dating can happen right away. If the break up is bitter with a lot of mixed feelings on your part give yourself some time to heal so you dont take it all with you as you are meeting new people you dont want to appear as this emotionaly crazed person.

Well certainly enough time to contemplate how you feel by yourself. It is kind of like when you are comfortable again with yourself, and doing your own thing, and really feeling optimistic about YOU again, that you would be in the best state to date again. Hang out with old friends, reconnect, maybe join some group you have always been interested in. Just focus on loving you for awhile.

Then you should take time to clarify for yourself what you want in a relationship before you date again and be very specific with yourself. That should be your focus when you are ready...because then you are apt to attract the right person to you. I would even write down the type of person i want to attract, his behaviors, mannerisms, etc. And I would daydream daily, when I am ready about the ideal guy for me. It really works...

I've heard the rule about one month per year married. So if you were married 5 years, you'd wait 5 months.

I think Dr Phil said that, lol. Gives you a chance to work out your emotions or whatever.

Anyway, its really up to you. If you are ready, go have fun. Dont get too serious until the divorce is final.
Good luck!

Until the divorce papers are signed and final, they should not be dating other people. Seperations can result in getting back together, even though most of the time they result in divorce. It's not fair to drag someone else into your life until you are free. Use this time to heal.

If they are still married, they shouldn't date anyone. If they are not married then there is no set time frame. When the time comes, you will know if you are ready. Some clues are you don't think of your ex at all for a complete day; you don't talk about your ex and all their flaws; you can think about the past relationship and not get angry and/or sad.

About the time it takes for the ink to dry on those divorce papers!!!! It all depends how deep the emotions were . Just don't get into a funk about it, it really serves no purpose.

I think it depends on you if your heart desires it.. too soon can lead to issues, like you comparing the new guy to the old one constantly. Just wait when the right person asks u out you will be ready.... chose carefully make sure u don't bag a crazy!!

Good Luck

Check your state laws on divorce. There isn't a limit on dating, but it gets sticky when you go to move in together. It could complicate the divorce, ESPECIALLY if you and your ex had kids together.
