I know that Martin Biron is talking to Briere and bragging how great of a hockey town Philly is. Also, Briere has stated that he doesn't want to stay in Buffalo after his contract ends (this season) unless he gets a lot more $$.

With Buffalo's current situation, they are going to be pushing the salary cap real close. Vanek is going to be there next $5m player. Philadelphia, with losing Foppa and Rathje, and with picking up all these young guys; Upshall, Parent, Coburn....has alleviated somewhere around $25m in space to sign players. With the opportunity to make more money, and to fill the captain position, I think that Briere would make the move.

Shut your mouth, never again speak such disgusting things. Besides, Biron didn't have a choice where he went, since he was traded, but Briere will be a free-agent, there for he has a say in where he goes. And who in they're right f'en mind would go to the Blackhole, that is Philly. I bet my life on the fact that Biron wont even stick around after the season, cause remember, he will still be a free-agent this summer.

I've heard just the opposite about Daniel, that he does want to stay and money wasn't the only consideration.

I don't think he'll go, if everyone who loves Biron goes, the Sabres bench would be empty.

As for the Flyers having $$$--under the cap it's all the same--you've got a lot of positions to fill and only a limited budget.

black hole? please, how can you call philadelphia a black hole, especially when you compare it to buffalo? as bad a rap as the philadelphia fans get, they are very simple: play hard and they'll love you. besides the fact that this is the first year they'll be missing the playoffs in 10 years. honestly, i'm more excited about the prospects of this team going forward than i have been in a long time.

but that's besides the point. i hope hope hope hope biron can talk briere into coming to philly. if he can do that, he will be worth a lot more than the 2nd rd pick they sent to buffalo.

way overpaid. the easy certainty is this 12 months's unfastened company era produced the main rediculous number of salaries. you have have been given Gomez who's truly going to make one-5th of the entire communities accumulated earnings, and hes no longer even the communities superb participant. those gamers are elite, there's no question. yet this might inflate all different salaries to this manner of degree, that the real losers interior the deal are the followers. we can be paying way too lots to pass to video games, as fee ticket expenses are already far extra than fee. Its no secret that tickets are overpriced; and have been for years. yet this might lead them to sky rocket. And based on the contracts signed this 12 months, purely think of how inflated they gets contained in right here few years while men like Heatley, Gaborik, Ovechkin, etc. those youthful gamers with distinctive expertise are going to fee 12 to fifteen million in line with 12 months to sign. No participant interior the league is properly worth 10 million in line with 12 months. It would not in good condition with the economics of the NHL. and that i argue that 8 remains too intense.
