See? Theres this girl that is a runner. Shes runs track. I think that the guy I like is starting to like her just because she place 1st in a track meet. I don't know what to do. The guy that I like name is Chris. I mean we started getting to know each other until this girl showed up and started messing it up. What should I do? Am I getting jealous? Should I tell him how I feel?

I guess you should join track and beat her in order for him to like you instead of her. Either that or just try to befriend him before she does.

Don't tell him how you feel. Try a new strategy...get to know the girl instead. Tell her that she's amazing on the track, asked how long she's been running in competition, and bring her into your circle of friends. It'll be much harder for your guy to make moves on a girl that considers you a friend. And don't let her in on the fact that you suspect your guy has a thing for her. That's what I'd do if I really liked this guy, but you need to realize that it's bad form for a guy to show his attraction to someone else in your presence. It shows a character flaw in a guy and could be a good indicator that he won't be loyal to you in the future. Maybe your new friend 'the track star' could help you determine whether he's a keeper or someone you need to lose fast. Remember that there will always be people who gain his attention for whatever reasons and if he makes you feel that he's so eager to be with someone else he may not be the best choice for you. I'd still make friends with the girl just to circumvent his plans if I thought he were heading in that direction--then when you walk away he won't be able to make any headway with her. Learn to love yourself first--no guy will be the right choice until you do.

Yes you are getting jealous. I've gotten jealous before, too. Here's what you do: If you really like this guy go for him and don't worry about the girl. But there could be other fish in the sea. You never know. You could take a risk or keep what you have and waste it.

1.)Yes, you are jealous.
2.)If a guy like that only likes a girl like that just because she's in first place, why would you like him? That means you would have to be good at everything...and thats just a waste of your time.
3.)If you've known him for some time, tell him how you feel. It's hard, but do it on a day you feel your most confident and ready to do so.

find something you both like, and gradually add it to the conversation. don't ever talk about running!!! if you want to avoid the subject.
flirt with him more, and talk about a hobby you're especially good in. he might be impressed with your skills!
don't get jealous! jealousy will make you do crazy things. and doing crazy things aren't worth a guy.
lastly, don't hurry up your gradual "relationship" to this guy just because of another girl. if you don't feel comfortable talking about your feelings NOW, get to know Chris a lil' better, then when the time's right tell him.

first join the track team if u can
second make friends with the girl and maybe let her know you like the boy so she cant steal him or tellher something about him so she wont like him
tell chris how u feel
tell chris horrid things about the girl but sneakily not too obvious

yes tell him how u feel before she does something. besides being first place doesn't make a difference in the person u are in the inside. and yes you are starting to get jealous of them. try ignoring the relationship they have and start focusing on your own.

Well it sounds like jealousy. maybe he is just impressed not in love. Well, i say u do a little devious work. on the days on track meets call him over and start talking to him. by then he will forget about the race. flirt a lil bit. ive had it happen to me. its sux doesnt it?

it seems that your becoming a little jealous but thats normal. maybe you should try to talk to him more & get more one on one time with him. & you deff. should tell him how you feel because maybe he is unsure if you like him or not and that is why he is starting to like the girl on tha track team. good luck.
