there is a big thing at work right now...how do you pronounce bombardier? is it bomb-ba-deer or bomb-bar-dee-ay? Please let me know...thanks!

Most of the snowmobiliers that I have spoken with (here in Maine) say "Bom-ba deer", unless they have toured the company, then they start saying it with the French inflection. So, I guess until we are lucky enough to be invited to tour the plant, we can continue to act 'ig-rant' and say it anyway we want.

The second one is the proper French pronunciation. Bom-bar-dee-ay, and it is the pronounciation in Canada and Britain.

I have never actually said the word allowed until today... I come up with bomb ber deer..... sounds better when I say it aloud.
But if you go to dictionary.com they have an option to hear the pronunciation... just click the phonetic spelling to hear it said aloud.

it's bom-ba-deer. If it was bomb-bar-dee-ay, you'd see a grav ... a mark above the e.
