My uniform at work is a white tuxedo top, a big red satin floppy bow tie and a red pencil skirt. Is this appropriate for a restaurant server?

Sounds a little extreme for me. I however am not aware of the enviroment you will be working in. If it is a theme restaurant then this may be a significant part of creating the desired atmosphere.
Sorry I can't help more than that.

If that is their uniform and you agreed to take the job then the answer is yes. I must assume that you are female and you are not the only person being required to wear this.

That sounds horrid.
I don't think it's appropriate for a server. I'd be too busy gawking at you instead of eating.

it's a little odd, but as long as it's the uniform for all, then, yes, unless it's too revealing.
