In humans and mammals in general, XO is female. A Y chromosome is necessary to become a male. In humans this chromosome make-up (Karyotype) is specifically called Turner's Syndrome and although physically female, girls don't develop completely normally.

i know there are three types: drozophila, abraxas, butterfly. the individual with XO chromosomes is own to butterfly type. And the sex of this individual is masculine - bumble bee
