Racism - Billie Holliday was a black blues singer who died from injuries she suffered in a car accident when a white hospital turned her away without treating her. As I recall, it was a minor accident, she was hit on the left side of the car she was driving, but she had her arm out the window and it was nearly severed. She bled to death on her way to a black hospital. Morale of the story - keep your hands in when you drive. C.
