Hey, don't say you aren't smart enough for college. Maybe you are a hands on learner who learns by actually doing things and not from reading books. High school does not really address the hands on learners of the world and they come out of school feeling "stupid" when they are not stupid at all.

I think you should take some classes at a community college and see what sparks your interest. or, apprentice programs for plumbing, auto mechanics, being a chef or working in a kitchen...

Why aren't you a people person? Maybe, you can develop that part of your personality. Take some college courses. Don't think that you aren't smart! You may find something you are good at in college and make friends! Your life can dramatically change--you never know! Have you thought about taking computer courses? Remember, no matter what field you get into, you must work with people to one degree or another. Take a public speaking course. It worked wonders for me. I'm guessing that if you can build a little self-confidence, you would love working with people. Good luck to you.

I agree with the other poster: who says you're not smart enough to go to college? Believe me, college is substantially different from high school. They let you take courses you want instead of what the administration wants. You need to think about what interests you, first and foremost. You need to think about what you would want to do in a "perfect world". Let's say that in a "perfect world", you'd like to write video games. Well, okay, that's a tough job, but maybe something in web design would appeal to you.

You need to do some soul searching. After all, a job isn't just about money. You need to love what you're doing in order to have some fulfillment at your job.

Good luck!

Wow, a little self-esteem is in order here. Everybody's good at something - what are you good at doing? Do you like numbers? Try accounting, or data entry. Good working with your hands? What about auto repair, or construction trades? Enjoy technical stuff? Computer programming, hardware/software testing, alarm/cable installation. Pretty fearless and want a lot of time to yourself? Night shift security.

Think about what skills you have, and then think about what kinds of jobs use those skills. You'll find something that fits. Good luck!

You have identified your weaknesses very well; (i.e. you are not a people's person and your assumption that you are not smart enough (I am saying this as an assumption; it might not be the case)

Now that you have identified your negatives (please try to identify your strenghts/positives). Find out what you really enjoy doing, what you are passionate about. Pick that as a career.

In the end you will succeed only if u do what you enjoy doing.

Go into doing medical data entry. Medical records of the past were just big folders, now they're trying to digitize everything. They could just lock you away and put you to work. Plus most hospitals provide the training.
