Use italics. Capitalize genus but not species.

Italics are necessary (or underlining). All names but the species are capitalized. Only the genus and species should be italicized, everything else is just plain.

Papaver somniferum (Genus species) is an example and you can italicize or underline the whole thing. You can also capitalize the family and underline or italicize it.

I'm not sure whether or not italics are necessary, but use them if you wish - it can't hurt..
Traditionally, the Genus is capitalized, while the species is not (eg Ursus maritimus, Ursus arctos, Ursus americanus, etc.)
Family should be capitalized too.
Have fun - hope it turns out beautiful!
