i'm asian and have a beautiful black saree that i can wear but i am unsure of the make up and hair-do that i should have...my hair is just a bit longer than my shoulders...so im thinking of buying clip in extensions...do u think this is a good idea?
its for a fancy dress party for a 17th birthday party (i'm 16)
any ideas would be great.... thnx in advance :D

Depending on your skin colour, some gold and green eyeshadow, with black mascara would look good with a black saree. Also wear some blusher, and a neutral/brown lipstick and clear gloss.
Keep your hair down, straightened. Perhaps you would like to wear a small tiara?
Don't wear too much jewellery - just some long earrings and a few bangles should be enough.

As an indian, i would say as for your hair, it depends on if you want to look old or young. A lot of the indian models wear their hair straight & long; some of them also have shoulder length hair; if you are looking to be a little older looking go with a bun. As for your makeup, you should choose colours that are right for you and your skin tone -- you NEED to look your best for your party! As far as a black saree, i hope that there are different coloured threads throughout -- it's rarely a colour used for sarees.
