i turn on the a/c and its too cold, i turn it off and i start sweating, i already sleep naked what can i do?

to get some comfortable sleep? its spring here in louisiana and this always happens....too hot or too cold

box fans are too noisy, cracking the window lets all the humidity in, and just a sheet doesn't do it, my girlfriend just rolls up in it and i don't have anything.

It sounds like your A/C is not sized properly for your house. I created this same problem when I replaced my old A/C with a new one.

I thought larger would be better, wrong. Too large of an A/C can cause the house to cool off too quick resulting in a clammy felling. You have cooled the air but you haven't removed the humidity. Short of replacing your entire A/C unit, just put a smaller air handler in, if your A/C is 3 tons, install a 2-1/2 ton air handler. Or, buy a de-humidifier which would be cheaper.

Remember that bigger is not better.

Put the a/c on a thermostat so that it shuts off when the room is at the temperature that you want.

Otherwise get some fans.

sounds like you need just a fan on the dresser,for now.
we use a fan and 2 sheets instead of a blanket.
we learned that from a stuffy bed and breakfast we stayed in once. it really works!

Instead of using the A/C buy a osculating fan. that will keep you cool.
