The following poem I wrote was inspired by my children.

My Children,My hero's
---------------------------------
The real hero's to me
Are my children you see.

In the face of diversity
They never lose sight of reality.

They love with all they got
And be pushed aside, they will not.

With all they have been through
and they come out out ahead in all that they do

They represent the lost child in me
The one that finally wants to be free.

In their eyes i see light
Even in the darkest night.

Every day, just because they are young does not mean they don't know anything. Plus, they have a different way of looking at things than an adult. I recently read a little story about a Mom and Dad and their little boy. The 3 of them were taking a walk when they came upon a deep hole with a very young duck in it. The duck couldn't flap his wings because it was a very narrow hole. They couldn't grab it by hand cuz it was too deep of a hole. Pretty soon a large crowd was trying to figure out how to rescue the duck. All kinds of ideas were mentioned when finally the little boy said "Dad, why don't we just fill the hole with water, and he can float out. So they did, and it worked great. It was just common sense. I think about that little boy almost every time I run into a problem.

I should have learnt heaps from my kids!
Ahhh from the mouths of babes
they speak such truth.
My daughter got the best mark for her story when she was in grade 4 class, even the Headmaster gave her story a star.
It was a Christmas story & it was so beautiful saying all about Christmas is not just for presents & that its Jesus birthday etc
( i still have her story book )
& my son he was so cute but in a boy way
the neighbour ( an old Lady ) asked him what did he learn at sunday school that day
& he said it was all about Noahs Ark & its still raining! haha that was so funny coming from a 4 year old at the time

I have learned that a child can have VERY opinionated political views....or maybe It's because Mommy is a liberal.

YES. Once they get their sharp baby teeth you can't safely take a piece of food out of their mouth even if it is a choking-size morsel.
