i don't think they're to soft on simons suspension but definatly on bertuzzis. yes simon's act was more violent, but hollweg wasn't hurt...if hollweg was hurt i'm sure simon would've been suspended for the rest of this season, playoffs and all of next season. he would definatly be tried for assault with a weapon to. but since hollweg didn't get hurt 25 games is good. the league is saying that they won't accept this kind of behavior and that's a good statement. now with bertuzzi's sucker punch, it was a less violent act but it did more harm to the other player (steve moore ) bertuzzi should've gotten suspended for longer than 2 games. the league probably thinks stick crimes are worse than sucker punching but in all relitivity...i think they should look at mainly if the player got hurt, then why they did ext.

they are too soft
if inceidents like that happen in the nfl or mlb out rest of the season if its near the end in this case half of the next, huge fines, he would be being sued, and woul be put on permanet probation.
the nhl needs to look at the other pro sports out and take examples from them
