I sure hope so. Here's my reasoning...people are fat. When women stayed home, they had the time to cook up wholesome meals. They weren't necessarily fat free, but they were fresh foods. Lasagna didn't come frozen, they boiled the noodles and made the marinara sauce. With both the husbands and the wives working now, who makes dinner? Some big company thousands of miles away.

Also, heart disease is now the number one killer of women. It used to pretty much only affect men. Why? Men had the stresses associated with work. Women stayed home, therefore didn't expose themselves to the added stress.

Things were simpler back then, and I do hope to see it return that way. I'm doing my part to bring back the housewife! I stay home with my kids and do all the cooking and cleaning in this household.

Going back in time only happens in stories. Women have tasted the wine so to speak and returning to servitude will never be popular again. Equality is no something easily relinquished. It is sad that children will grow up without that bonding that used to be between mothers and children. The more money a family has the bigger needs developed. I am thankful my children had a full time mother and they are richer for it.

It would be a nice thought but with the way the economy is and how it takes two to run a house hold these days I don't see it happening but my husband has volunteered to be a stay at home day when we have kids and I am perfectly happy to give him diaper duty!

No, Mostly because the government wants the tax money from everyone's income. I a woman stays home that's one less income stream for them. Government bureaucrats and socialists find this an unforgiveable sin. Everyone must work and pay them. Government allows you to live on money you earn, because they believe all money is theirs

Well it depends on the person. I wont ever think of trading my career for anything but if it demands then probably my family might come first in line. But I would eternally itch to get back to my career cause I wont be happy otherwise. So it depends on the person.
