The play-in team doesn't play the #1 overall. It plays the 4th #1 seed. It isn't reverse order, they fill it out in this order (bracket, seed)
1,1 2,1 3,1 4,1 1,2 2,2 3,2 4,2 etc. even though they really should go
1,1 2,1 3,1 4,1 4,2 3,2 2,2 1,2 etc.

Florida is the number 1 overall seed as announced by CBS.
And I have the same question.

My opinion- they should rank the entire field 1 through 64 (if you're gonna have 65 why not 105 or invite everyone, having 65 is stupid) and 1 plays 64, 2 plays 63, etc.

And Stanford, you gotta be kidding me.
