For a project I have to design a poster or a book cover on the topic of unfairness. What do you think is unfair? eg England losing on penalties all the time, or being poor, or speeding tickets? Any ideas for inspiration will be very useful. Thank you in advance

The court systems are majorly unfair. We have had my stepdaughter for 2 years, no contact from the mother. We hired a lawyer a year ago to get custody of her. Yet they cannot stop the child support from being taken out of my husbands checks, because legally we are still required by law to pay it until the paperwork has been changed. My husband changed jobs a couple of months ago, so the child support stopped being taken out, because they had no new info on where my husband was employed. That was a big releif, because the courts should overlook this when our hearing comes up, considering we have had the little girl for 2 years.Well, When our income tax came in, we found that they had taken 2,000 dollars out, to pay the back child support my husband owed when he changed jobs! And it is going to a mother who has not seen her daughter in 2 years, and has a major drug habit. But we can't do anything about it, because the court systems have to go strictly by the book on what is legal. We'll never see that money again, and this woman got a nice little surprise a couple of weeks ago! That is the most unfair thing I have ever experienced.

It is unfair that 'rail travel ("ridiculously") costs more than air travel.

It is unfair that instead of making trains longer in order to accommodate more passengers, they 'price passengers off of the railways instead.'

It is unfair that 'the cost of rail tickets go up ~ because the rail companies declare they want to provide a better service.' Surely, any other business ~ say a grocery store, if it charged its customers MORE because it wanted to give a better service, then it would take out loans' because the customers would go elsewhere.

As I grow older I can see more and more reasons for moving abroad ~ as we gather around us more and more dumb behaviour and idiotic laws.

Sash.

Political correctness is unfair. By the terms of this favoritism, those who have made something of their lives are required to perpetuate entitlement. True, there are those if given a hand up, would become self-sufficient, but there are vast numbers who feel they are entitled to handouts, and live their lifestyle because they choose to.

Remember, there is a difference between a "hand up" and a "handout". A good analogy is the liberals through political correctness, much like dealing with alcoholics, are enablers.

the reward method in schools;

people who do really badly then, magically, do slightly better but are still failing get loads of praise for doing well.
the people who are constantly achieving excellent marks are parised greatly and are expected to do well so they get more time and dedication.
the people who are doing well, getting good marks and getting by are COMPLETELY IGNORED! there is no praise. nothing. just a nod, if even that! the people that are passing all their subjects but could do slightly better are ignored! it's totally unfair! we are constantly told in Social Ed. that we will get praise, rewards, etc. etc. we'll "feel better" knowing we've achieved something, but what is the point really in telling us this if no one wants to acknowledge the average people that are doing well and would just like some recognition. something.

and if only to make things worse, our "year headteacher" told us in assembly about two weeks ago that the people that were failing badly had been given up on and were being left behind and the people that needed the help to get slightly better grades would be focused on! but only minutes later the people they had "given up on" were held behind and given mentors! effing MENTORS!!!! and once again, the people quietly unconfident in achieving the best they can out of "the most important exams" of our lives are shunted into the dark, to be forgotten about, ignored and are left to their own devices to achieve well.

sorry about the massive rant, i got a bit carried away.

One of the most unfair things I can think of is drugging children and making them into zombies.I don't believe in ADD or ADHD I believe children are supposed to be active with a moderate attention span and weren't meant to sit and stare at a wall.I think because the main ingredient in Ritalin is meth (this is because in children what is a stimulant for adults is a downer for them and what is a downer for them is a stimulant for adults) which is the main ingredient in illegal street drugs that get people 'wired' we are creating a future generation of drug addicts.I have known people who are addicted to drugs who were on Ritalin as children and upon being taken off of the medication they began using illegal drugs to medicate themselves. Is that fair?Is it fair to an innocent child who only wants to be a kid to be doped up every day?Instead parents could take the time to be a parent and see their child eats nutritious food and gets plenty of exercise with no sweets or processed foods. What a world of difference it could make if we started caring more about our youth instead of our own convenience. But until parents wake up and realize what their doing, innocent children (mostly boys) will be the ones robbed of their youth and possibly their future as well. How sad.

I think there is alot of unfairness in the world.
Criminals being allowed to get away with crimes whilst the elderly are arrested for non payment of poll tax. What about when a criminal breaks into your house and your dog bites him and then it's your dog that gets the trouble and not the criminal. Thats disgustingly unfair.

I think it's unfair that bad things happen to good people. I think it's unfair that people in some countries live in poor conditions while those with comfortable lives moan about the littlest things. I think that child abuse is unfair.

What i locate unfair is putting hours and hours and hours of work into some thing then once you ultimately get it finished and turn it in they're retaining "no its to overdue" so those hours of your existence are wasted, you cant get them back. that's what i locate unfair
