when polishing shoes, can you use a moisturizing oil (like mink oil) in conjunction with the polish, or do you have to stick to just polish?

is dubbin and polish a viable combination?

We always used mink oil in conjunction with shoe polish for polishing our boots. Not only does it moisturize but it also adds a water-repellent quality to the leather. I would say since Dubbin doesn't prevent the leather from being polish that dubbin and polish should work fine together. The only thing you might take into consideration is the consistency of the polish and dubbin together - will it be harder to get an even coat? Maybe layers would be better? You can def use both though!

Good luck!
