It depends on the type of spice. Most spices may simply cause mild acid reflux inflamation and skin irritation in large quantities. However there are some spices such as Nutmeg or Mace that can be neurotoxic in unusually large quanties resulting in psychic disturbances,delerium, hallucination, and convulsions however such incidents are extremly rare. Most spices are reletivly nontoxic and usualy cause acid reflux at its worst when used in large quantities. However frequent incidents of acid reflux can possibly result in stomach ulcers.
