It's hard to say. Rabbits are very good at hiding illness. If you know your rabbit's routine very well, and you notice a difference in his normal routine, there's probably something wrong with him. It's always a good idea to at least call the vet for advice. This website has lots of good information:

www.rabbit.org is also a great reference.

That's normal. There are many signs to notice when a rabbit is sick such as a dirty rear end from diahrrea.

But normally with most any animal there are a couple tell-tale signs that an animal is sick. If the animal hunches in one spot and doesn't seem to want to move from that spot. That is a good sign. Hunching in spot and not wanting to move is different than the animal acting relaxed and lazy and just laying in the same spot.

Another thing to watch are the ears. If an animal is not feeling good they will often not carry their ears as erect as they normally do, especially when they are up and moving around.

I'd say your rabbit sounds perfectly fine and you have nothing to worry from your description.

Also, watch how much your rabbit eats. If you see that the rabbit is not eating or is eating less that could be a sign that your rabbit is sick. Keep in mind that rabbits will typically eat less during the summer when it is hot. Also you can run your hand over the rabbit's back. If the rabbit starts feeling bony over the back, that's a very good sign that the rabbit is or has been sick.

Sometimes yes it is normal. The question is how long has he been just laying around and doing nothing? Most of the time rabbits sleep during the day and early evening and are active more at night.

Most pet owners , who have had a pet for a long while can tell if something is not right with there pet.So if you have a feeling your rabbit is sick, you should probably take him to a vet.Its always better to be safe than sorry.

Sometimes animals are just feeling under the weather (feelings not so good) or are just having a lazy day. Your rabbit should be fine as long as he doesnt have unusual poop, diahhrea, coughing, blood, running eyes, and he is eating and drinking water! Maybe he is just lazy, take him out side or play with him!

well he might be sick. pick him up and make sure hes not bleeding and what not. when my rabbit was.....well she wasnt sick...her feet were being eaten away at.......but she looked sad. her eyes looked sad and stuff. and keep a close eye on him. a small cold can easily turn into pneumonia.
