I have the Verizon DSL connection and am fed up with the wires. I need a device, either a gateway or router( Idont know which one) to make it wireless.

The difference is basically that a gateway is one to one and a router is many to many. Companies like to call things routers when they are only really gateways, so the distinction is being lost over time. I use a D-Link DI-624, it works for me but some have had issues with it.

Linksys Routers, the current ones will function either as a Gateway or a Router: It may not be a good idea to get an N class just Yet because of some problems with Standards, but the B and G class Routers that Have a Wireless Capability from Linksys are great, especially with the Setup Disc from Cisco that makes it incredibly easy to setup; plus Linksys support is superb

The thing you want to buy is a wireless router. Lots of company's make them Linksys is a dependable brand. So is DLink.

Linksys has the best routers. the fastest one is wireless N. That just came out and it is 150ish in price. if you don't want the pay that much that you can get wireless G for about 50 dollars

Well you need a wireless router with that you need a wireless nic card for your computers.
