I love it here. I was born & raised here, spent 7 years all over the country... Austin is a difficult place to leave, I'm soooooo happy to be back.
And to Casey V - man it sux to be you. Sorry you blame Austin for your lack of success. Stop blaming and start working. Austin is not that overpriced.

I don't live there, but I go there everyday for school (except weekends, of course, unless I need something that requires an extra trip or special events).
It's funny...a guy above me said that Austin needs loops. I'll agree we need more major roads, and so does most of Austin.....just nobody wants to pay for them. The government can't pay for them, and the people don't want to have them privately built, so I don't really know what the people want. Fortunately, they are building the roads privately anyway.

People who hate it, please stay away because apparently not everyone hates it, we have 1000s moving here each month. Our traffics bad cause people love it here! Houston's traffic is bad because they're all psycho to live there in the first place. HOUSTON STINKS!!
I've lived in several cities and states and I will agree that Austin has the WORST drivers I've ever been on the roads with, they are quite infuriating.
But the BEST radio stations, by far...and I loves me some town lake.

currently in houston, but lived in austin for 4 years and didnt get to spend enough time there. i always look forward to going back, especially during the spring and summer. :)

I hate austin. people can't drive and the traffic is worse than dallas and houston combined. And theres a need for more loops to get around ... not just I 35 and Mopac. Oh and the way Austin overprices their homes? Ridiculous- Austin ain't no California.
Shut up emile- You know nothing and I don't like catty people like you either. I do work that's how I know. Maybe when you rent a place of your own you will see how ridicolously overpriced this unworthy city is.

Pflugerville...If all you want to do is raise children, this is a great place. So glad I'm not into the nite life cause I would be extremely bored.
