First off, I should say if you dont have a Macintosh DONT GET YOUR DAUGHTER AN IPOD!!!!!! I cant say that enough. I once had an iPod installed on my computer and it messed my Dell up so bad. Luckily I had installed a system restore point, but those iPods are very risky when two competely different company's programs are working together! Personally, I think you should get her the iRiver clix. It's sold new at $158 if you get it online. Read the review at:

you should get an ipod nano from walmart but it is in stores only so dont buy online and it is 197.88 or just go to www.amazon.com and search ipods then ask her which color and and there is this 4 GB one for under 200.00 and there's pink,silver,blue or green or there is an ipod shuffle 2nd generation for 78 bucks that has up to 240 songs you can store or if you spend a tiny bit more you can get a video 30 GB for $242.98 that is white or a black one that is $245.00 and it stores up to like 75,000 songs or like 14 hours of videos,movies ,or shows and it holds pictures also you can put lyrics in songs but all directions are in the package

It is a MP3 player made by the world famous Apple that is really popular, which I would have bought instead of a stupid iriver which is a peice of crap. There are different mega bites the $200 one doesn't hold as much. There are some that you can download videos on. An mp3 player is basically something you hook up to your computer, download music from Windows Media or any other type of computer program for listening to music and watching DVDs.

Creative Zen Microphoto. I have it and it's great. You can put pictures on it and it holds about the same amount of songs as an Apple I-Pod, but it is more durable- I should know....I've dropped it about a zillion times!

Get her the new video ipod with the most memory you can afford. You will need the usb cord, charger, and the headphones which come separate for her to be able to use it. I suggest getting one used to save money. Also, get a metal casing for it to add style and durability.

you can get her the 2 GB (500 songs) iPod nano. its silver or the regular nanos are 199.00 and hold 1,000 songs.
