I don't think a person's gender or race should be a deciding factor in an election although I am positive that it will be and that's a shame.

I think it's not the gender that defines a great president. It's their actions. I don't think a woman would make any better president than a man, if they had identical views and the ability to make the world a better place.

If Hillary became the president of the united states, she would automatically have power. She would have been elected, that was the vote "Should she be able to run the US?"

All the great presidents were men... true, but obviously there were no great woman president, there hasn't even been a woman president, let alone a great one.

I don't believe sex has anything to do with it.
There are men and women who would both be bad at or be good at running our country, but there's no one perfect no matter gender.
No idea about Hillary, I don't intend on voting for her, but not because of her reproductive organs.
All the great presidents were men? ALL the presidents were men, heck! Women haven't even had the rights they do very long. Women still don't get paid the same wages. Also, I think you called Bush a great president, I won't argue this since he is still in office and it would be dis-respectful, but I won't agree either. I wouldn't want to be in his seat, only mine.

May the best woman or man (for the Job) win.

a woman of course. women are quick to get **** done. terrorists attacks? watch a woman on pms deal with terrorism. she'll string him by his balls!! lol!! of course a woman. women don't mess around. they are more diplomatic.
Look at Nancy Pelosi - a woman of great honor. knows what needs to happen in this country and does it. they're smart and very capable. some may disagree with me. but i think it's time we put a decent change in the white house whether it be male or female it depends on their qualifications. are they up
to the challenge? strong leadership in the eyes of every American not just a few, but all. I think Bush Sucks myself but that's my own opinion. Trouble is, I'm not alone on this one. I don't care either way, as long as it's the right person for the job to get this country on the right track where it belongs again. when your president has the united states into two opposing views, something's wrong. we should be united as one country but we're not. when your president starts messing with things like social security, he's messing with something that shouldn't messed with in the first place (people's future retirement funds and pensions ) turning it into russian roulette by investing in the stock markets. especially with the economy being weak like it is. when your president talks **** when he really needs to shut up and listen to what's been said and not like idiotic, arrogant, greedy, crook that he is. Did I say that?? oh pardon me if I offend. but it's the damned truth. oops!! lock me up and handcuff me for telling it like it is. that's the trouble with this country, rich man Bush can say and do what he feels even if it's wrong. common man can't say **** because he's a rich man president. which is a line of crap. I have a constutional right to say whatever I feel about the president and it's my god-given right which is the freedom of speech!! Do I make myself clear? I hope so. check the constitution 1st amendment. and bill of rights!

Gender and race have no play in my decision. I will vote for whoever I think will be best for the country, because when it all boils down to it, a human is a human regardless of how he (or she, I suppose) looks or where he came from.

The only people who I think really make a big deal out of gender and race are the candidates themselves, who seem to think that American thoughts toward such things have not changed since the beginning of the 20th century, and thus think it truly is worth mentioning. Their die-hard supporters will also use this as reasoning; if there are enough of them, we'll have the first female or black President who is indeed a novelty in that field, but is otherwise entirely incapable of running this country and maintaining the wisdom of our Founders.

well, at least a woman can use both sides of her brain.... haha
actually if doesn't really matter male or female but I pity whom ever it is stepping into this mess made by the brainless one... it will take the next 4 presidents to clean it up. I bet he's a lot more conservative with his money than he's been with ours.... oh yeah, think about it, if terrorist really wanted to attack America don't you think now would be the perfect time since all of our troops are in the middle east fighting a war based on lies?

look at were the last man has taken this country. We are at war for oil. you can say its for terriorism however we have been there for what 5 years and still have not found 1 man. Yea ok! The country is full of illegals, which we are going to be giving drivers licenses to. the jails are full of illegals which means that the u.s. tax payers are paying for their meals and thats not including the ones on welfare. Our country is so far in debt good luck getting out of this one. He has his nose in every other countries business he is not looking at his own. Maybe a woman is just what we need to get back on track!

I think the country will always be best run by a man. I am a woman, but I still fear a woman getting into office. If Hillary gets elected, (which she won't) we may all want to immigrate elsewhere. I will not vote for a woman president.

Since we have never had a woman president, it's hard to make that call. Other countries have had women as presidents and they have done quite well.
I always thought Nancy Reagan ran the country well.

It shouldn't matter what the precedent says, anyone should be able to become president, it's a free country.

If a person thinks a woman can't do it, they're just sexist.
