On my dell I can't the number of MBs that the graphics can use. If I upgrade the graphics would I be able to?

The dell is Inspiron 1300. I have 512 ram and only 8MBs is being used for Graphics. I want more.

Not familar with the exact model 1300, but you can't install another graphics "card" in your laptop. It's built-in the motherboard.

As for increasing the Video RAM, It MAY be possible, check in Device Manager under DISPLAY or possibly a Utility provided by Dell to increase Video RAM.
