Cant get windows to boot all i get is the widows start up
screen then a blackscreen with my antivirus scan on the
bottom i get a meesage saying error reading drive C
abort retry fail? any ideas on how to fix this

Try booting in SAFE MODE. tap on the F8 key when starting.
IF it works, you can try different RESTORE dates to see if it boots properly
Click on START
Click on ALL PROGRAMS
Click on ACCESSORIES
Click on SYSTEM TOOLS
Click on SYSTEM RESTORE

Try reinstalling windows or booting in safe mode. It's either that the OS (Operating System - Windows) got damaged or the hard drive itself is damaged. I hope it's not the latter or you will lose all of your information.
