Is America falling?

Is anyone else just a little scared at the possiblity that America might fall (a la` Rome?)

Empires come and go, as did the Roman Empire, and the British Empire. The United States keeps on extending and cannot keep up with the costs, so obviously, there will come a time when another power will be superior. China is growing and becoming more important, as is India. No nation can can continue with corrupt and greedy officials and a population that defies law and order. The British took control of China with opium and we are being inundated with drugs for the young. It only takes one generation to have a society reverse. Best wishes

I am seriously scared.

I am sorry to say but I know I am dissing my own country by saying to much prideness is gonna be our down fall.

We might be one number but many other countries hate us. They hate us because "America is superior" than everyone else and there is a great deal of prideness.
People don't like it when things are rubbed against their face.
For example we will win all wars because we have the best military force. That causes friction, and gonna cause us alot of trouble.

first off, the answer is no, we are not falling, more like stumbling, there have been some rocks in the road in american history, but everything seems to clear up after a good politician steps in, but if things clear up in the middle east and we get better politicians (both democrats and republicans) then we are in the clear, but every empire comes and goes, i really hate to say this, but america will fall, the question is more like when, might be a 100 and it might be 100,000 years (doubt the human race will survive that long) but we wont have to worry about it in our lifetime
