i have this male friend and recently he told me he liked me and that he wanted to know if he and i could persue something.i told him i was not sure about that so he didnt say much afterwards.anyway what puzzles me is he only contacts me a few times outta the month and i dont see how he can like me if he doesnt make more of an effort,we discussed it and he did a lil better for about a week then went back to his normal habits.i dont understand why he would tell me he likes me,when obviously its not true and why he would ask to be my b/f but yet cant make a better effor to stay in touch regularly.

There you go, if he's being that way now - he doesn't even talk to you much, then what does he actually like about you? Be picky when dating, if something bugs you in the beginning, don't put up with it, that way you don't deal with it later on also. He might really like you, but if he's not even stepping up, then maybe he's confused on what it means to be with someone.

You can mention this to him again. But, if he does not try to keep in touch and build something, then let it go. He is not able too or just does not want to. Don't let it get to you and let him know that you are not waiting around on him. Good luck.

doesnt sound like you like him, at least, you havent said anything that would sound like you like him. So maybe your actions in real life is conveyed through your paragraph: you feel its his job to make the relationship happen, and for him to come to you. If you dont like him, and dont persue him like you expect him to persue you, then you should tell him you dont like him.

hey what's weird is i have the exact same problem really exact he says he really really likes me but ever since he told me that it has been akward, so this guy of yours is probably a little uncomfortable now that he has told you this especially if he thinks you are going to reject him!!!!!!!!!! so the truth is if he acts that way he is just nervous around you. and so you need to be the brave one and ask him out if you like him!!!!

If you've slept with him then that's why. He only wanted to get you into the sack and now that he has, game over - he's not interested anymore.
