She may be getting too much of the solids. Most people dont start solids till 6 months and very little at that. You did say very little though so maybe she just isn't hungry. Try giving the last bottle before the bedtime bottle a little earlier so she will be really hungry!

Well, I think everything sounds fine. She's taking her other feeds so at least you know she's not hungry! You may want to look at her routine. Is her solids given before her bottle feed. Because if it is you may find she's full up from that. Keep persisting with it if she takes it great, if not don't worry. She will if she's hungry. I know that once a baby has been introduced to solids most of them do go off there milk feed. If you are worried she's not getting enough milk, maybe you could start adding it to her solids.Consult your Doctor for professional advice if your still concerned. But you sound as though your doing a great job, good luck and I hope my advice helps.

She might be switching up her bedtime schedule on you. Don't worry, this will happen several times in the first and second year of life. The baby might be holding on to her dinner longer -- taking a little longer to digest, so she's not as hungry when she's ready for bed. You may want to move her dinner to early in the evening, then play, then bath, then another bottle before bed. See if that helps. Don't pressure her or get too stressed about it because it will only make the situation worse. The baby will become more resistant because she'll sense that you are upset or stressed in the situation. Just offer it and don't make a big deal if she doesn't take it. This one I had to learn the hard way until my hubby reminded me that a baby won't let itself go hungry. Good luck.

Ahhh Dad,she has gotten wise that the last bottle is bed time, even at 5 months. They learn quickly. However frustrating it may be,dont change what you normally do,infants also learn control at an early age.Since you are not having problems with any of the other feedings, this is the only thing I can come up with.Mother of two..,however mine are grown now.I commend you for being a good father, some women are lucky.

As long as she is getting enough milk during the day I wouldnt force that last bottle. she may not want it. Just make sure your not giving her too much solids. At this age the milk is the most important and the little solids she needs is just extra.

she knows its bedtime and is fighting it, she could be to tired or have a bubble still in her tummy, walking really does help soothe fussy babies, my kids went through this stage and I had to make sure all the bubbles were out of the belly and walk them up and down the floor for a while before they would settle down for a bottle, it started right around that age and lasted several months.
my son has always wanted things just so to fall asleep.

My son, now 11 months old sometimes still has this problem. Sometimes he is just to tired, too full or too fussy to want his bottle. At that point I would lay him in his crib (started this at 4 months) He would cry for about 3 minutes and then went down for the night.

Dont force her to eat, she isnt hungry or she would eat. Lose the schedule and listen to your babies needs.... She will let you know when she is ready to eat.
