When the aliens first landed they said "We come in peace", then they started to kill humans. They continued to SAY they meant no harm. But their actions were contradicting.

You can put this concept into real life Issues. Such as Hunger in Africa. You can say it is bad, but do nothing about it. People over there die of starvation. Americans ( on average) overeat. Humans are being killed. It is a similar to the plot line.

Words are escaping air from our lungs. Once spoken, they are gone. The action remains, as a flooding dam washing away everything in its path.

The message I got was to always wait for Tim Burton movies to come out on DVD instead of popping out $8 at the theatre.

its a freaking comedy movie. it is not that deep. the message is put your brain on hold for a few hours and watch this incredibly goofy movie which should not be looked upno as a correlation for hunger in africa or anything with the iraq war. if it was meant to have a message, then it would be independence day. just watch a movie and enjoy it.
