That is a very intruiging query. It is quite amusing to see peoples profiles saying such things as: "6532 Answered"
Quite possibly they could be so insecure with their own problems or obsessions (Yahoo Answers) that they need to counter this by belittling others. (In layman's terms: Make themselves feel better by making others feel worse.)
