Oh man...this is a project I wish I'd have gotten to do! First ask this: What is a boundary? Why do we have boundaries? Who'd boundary are we looking at?
There are only boundaries if you want there to be boundaries, otherwise they do not exist. In a classroom, especially a HS classroom there are many boundaries you can cross. Many people can be offended, and very easily. In real life, people get offended, but does that mean you crossed a boundary with your art? no...it doesn't. You crossed SOMEONES boundary, but not everyones.
What I'm getting at is that everyone has a different boundary for different things. There is no one solid boundary on any issue, especially art. Art is how one person expresses themself according to his or her boundaries...not someone elses.
"The only boundary in art, is the confines of your canvas..."
take that meaning as you want it...hope I could help : )

Just one example offered from so many : The canvas upon the paint is applied to create a vision or image?
Of Course . . if you'd like to continue the vision on to the wall, the floor, the ceiling, the sidewalk, the street, including all the other SURFACES of houses, buildings, into the city, the next state, into the whole of a country , continent, the vessel or vehicle which would transport you abroad, across and ALL AROUND the world . . and so on . . then, I'd guess it'd be up to your energy, time had, capacity of idea and originality (and allowances by societal rulings and guidelines to be respected) - then you'd have no boundaries to impede, except those decided by you, should exist.
