The guy (killer) they first suspected which really was the killer in the end. Couldnt they get him for conspiracy at least, they just let him free because they said that they didn't have enough evidence to prove he was the Zodiac, but didnt they have enough evidence. After all, he was wearing a Zodiac watch and had the right description. He even said if I was the Zodiac I wouldn't tell you anyways. Isn't that enough to put him in jail or something.

No, it was all circumstantial. Plus, I think they hoped to continue investigating. Seeing as you can't be tried for the same crime twice, it was in their best interest not to arrest him until they had something solid.

Anyway, it was a great film.

The whole case seems like poor police work. That's what screwed it up. They could've used the evidence they had to arrest him and wait for a search warrant. They could interrogate him and such, but they might've had to let him go.

However they were denied the warrant, so they couldn't proceed. It was all botched.

No, none of that is enough for jail-time with our judicial system.

But I thought the movie sucked, it was so boring!
