How do you get started being a model?
When I was little, I used to model some things for some magazines but I haven't done that for some time. I would like to be a model, like on a runway. How do I get started?
Btw, I'm 14 years old, 6"1 and my picture is in my 360.

First, make sure you're healthy. Live a life style that is suitable and maintainable. Don't binge or purge. Eat healthy. Work out if you want to be defined. Being skinny isn't sexy, being healthy is.
Second, do a search on modeling agencies around you if you live in a major city. Find out what people say about them, pro's and con's. You should never have to pay up front for a modeling agency.
Third, go to a professional photographer and have some pictures taken. They should usually ask you to bring in a couple of outfits. Two outfits and a swimsuit. They tend to have a package deal where you can buy a number of photos. Make sure they take a few good shots and include a good face shot.
Fourth, set up an appointment and make sure your parents go or are supportive. They'll find you shoots and that's how you'll get paid. Only do what you're comfortable with and never sign anything without your parent's approval.
Hope this helps.

Don't eat. That is the most important step in your dreams to continue sexualizing women and perpetuating irresponsible and unrealistic media images. Eek, sorry my inner feminist squeaked out.
You will need head shots. Seek out responsible well known agencies who don't take money. People are going to try their hardest to take advantage of you. Don't let them.
Try local opportunities. I'm doing a few test shoots next week for a local GLBT magazine looking for anyone to do their fashion spread in Minneapolis. It's not going to get me in any agencies, but I can imagine if I were model minded it would look good on my resume to have had any type of experience.
STAY AWAY FROM PORN. STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING SEXUALLY EXPLICIT. PROTECT YOUR BODY.

Go to a model agency in your area (with your parents), and see if they take you on. They usually give you requirements.
They will ask you for a portfolio and you should have your teeth done. Do not do anything until you talk to them.
You can find them on Yellow pages. It makes sense to start locally first.

Many wanna be.. few are chosen... realistically what you need is a damn good agent first and formost.. dont get me wrong.. yer cute.. but you arent that cute there are 5000 waiting in the wings.. that hair do needs some serious work for one.. and you def need make-up tips..
You do have the height though.. thats a plus...
If you really wanna do this.. get yer butt listed with a model agency.. there are tons of them.. but be aware burn out rate is high.. you better make yer first million by the time yer 19

You'd want to get some portfolio shots done, and talk to a modeling agency.

okay, first you need to find an agency (stay away from barbizon it is a JOKE)---you are pretty and tall so should not have problem fiding an agency (try ford or elite modeling)---i would also go to the modeling conventions/shows/tryouts when they come to your area (like a local hotel) to get your foot in the door---many modeling companies find fresh faces this way (like ford, elite, gap....)----good luck!

Goto a modeling agency. There are usually some local ones, but the bigger cities, NYC, Philly, LA, etc are always the best choice for your tallents for bigger pay scales.

If your sure that's what you really want to do, I don't know. Maybe put some videos of yourself up at youtube.com telling people why you are more than just good looks but don't give away to much info of course. That can be dangerous
