How about a gay black female?

Black, depends, if he is qualified and can lead the country in the right direction, why not? Gen. Colin Powell or Judge Clarence Thomas would be excellent candidates.

Gay? If they are like any of the many gay people I have known, I would have to say no. Most of the ones I have known have been so preoccupied by sex that they could hardly even focus on the jobs they had. At one time I had several gay coworkers. We never knew if they were going to show up for their shift on any particular day. We can't have a president like that.

Female? Same as black. If she is qualified, then why not? If she is Hilary, then absolutely not.

The Next President should be qualified, honest, brave and forthright, with the ability to think of not only short term consequences but long term as well. They should be able to see the American Dream and the American reality and build a bridge between the two.

As to male, female, black, white, gay, straight, Mormon, Hispanic, catholic, divorced, single or other none of that matters

As they say in the comic books "We ask merely a man's worth not the accident of his condition"

we've were given a black, we exceedingly a lot had a woman. we've were given gays in Congress who OCULD "bypass up the ladder". yet an ATHEIST is way off. you note, by the overall public, "atheists" are seen as untrustworty. Sorry -- no longer my idea. undemanding actuality: the yankee public, as an finished, sees atheism and atheists as untrustworhty because the do no longer have a consistent usual upon which their morals are outfitted. may you pick a president you couldn;t have self assurance? Even atheists do not do this!

The next President should honor the Constitution for the United States of America.

That's the job description.

Race/gender is not an issue. But being gay is . . . well . . . gay.

I think the next President should be the first person who can bring back ALL of the soldiers from war, balance out our budget, increase $$ for education and healthcare, legalize gay marriage and act like they have some kind of damn common sense and respect! I dont care if they're white, black purple, blue, straight, bi, gay, asexual, man or woman, just as long as there last name doesnt begin with a B and ends with an ush.

I think it'd be amazing if a black lesbian was president, but I think that whoever is best qualified for Presidency should be elected.

That being said, I DON'T think Hillary Clinton will be elected.

Sexual orientation should not be an issue, but then neither should sex or race!

But it looks like we might finally break the "white male" President stereotype with Female or Black.

Who evers best for the job. If people vote for someone just because their gay or a women or black or any other minority, and their a terrible leader that will ttly mess up our country, then people are voting for the wrong reasons.

The next President needs to be the most qualified person. Unfortunately it doesn't usually work out that way.
