he would stop the very moment he figures he would need an infinite ammount of energy to come even close to the speed of light.

by simply ignoring this limitation he would travel back in time, or would have related effects like 'being somewhere before he actually starts'

what else can he do ?
lets say he would be capable bending space in a away that it APPEARS he would have travelled that fast.

in some sci-fi movies you see people describe propultion systems which bend space together creating a kind of wormwhole between two points in space.
this concept has been mathematically tested, with the outcome that it would take a sort of exotic energy opening such, with the result that it won't open wide enough to get through. .. again .. no way to get to those desired 1 million miles per second

so the outcome is...
man should cancel his ambitions. come back down to reality and decide to buy a faster car next time, just to be 'a glipse' faster to this dream than before ;)

You can't travel at a million miles per second, it's faster than light .... waaay faster than light, no can do. The best you could manage, theoretically, would be 185,000.99999999 miles per second.

If you were travelling at a million miles per second you would be the discoverer of hyperspace and therefore famous for all time.

The only way to stop in space is to have a gadget that would make you stop - like ... let's call it ... a braking system; or, a big, solid object to smash into. There is no friction in space, you wouldn't slow down independently.

First of all, he couldn't go a million miles per second. He could not travel faster than the speed of light, which is only 186,000 miles per second. Second, it would be like any other place, he would not stop unless he ran into something. If you're asking whether he would find the edge of the universe, he wouldn't reach it for millions of years, and even then its possible he wouldn't recognize it because of the nature of space. It's possible he'd end up where he started somehow. We just don't know.

Man can't do that, since the speed of light is only 186,000 miles per second, and no one can go faster than that.

Without arguing the light speed limit, the answer is -- in theory -- no. Of course, "straight" is relative, too, since, if space is curved, your speedy traveler might be making a long arc that leads him eventually back home.

It is not thought to be possible to travel faster than the speed of light which is (only) 300 000 km per second.

So I guess it is simply not possible.

According to Newtons first law of motion he would countinue unless a red head whould stop him.
Per Einstein's law of motion time would make a difference.
