Depends how fast the terrorists figure out they can do whatever they want in our Country and not even get a second glance about it....
Pretty fast after that.

As far as I know, Democrats are not in control of congress (as some would like to believe democrat = liberal)
I have seen many posters on here arguing that decisions are not made by the president rather congress. So your hypothetical questions is not actually hypothetical, it reflect the reality of the current government.
As for how long it will take them to ruin America. To be a realist. Right now the USA has alienated itself from the rest of the world, unemployment is high, there are massive trade deficits, the housing market is unstable, there hasn't been a balanced budget proposed in quite sometime. The national debt has ballooned to a point that there is little room for investment in economic growth a diversity. The coupled with an unprecedented rate of outsourcing. The nation isn't in the greatest shape. Hopefully having some fresh ideas will be to the benefit of the nation, as more of the same will definitely lead to the demise of the nation.

Not at all. In fact we would see advancements in healthcare reform, police and fire protection, better schools and ways for people to afford higher education. We would see a better energy policy. One that would put emphasis on renewable energy. This would create jobs for Americans and would create products that could be marketed to other countries to help them clean up the environment and have little or no dependence on Arab oil in a very short time. Our standing as a nation would improve dramatically as it had previously. We would be respected and admired around the world once again. We might see less corruption and better oversight of each branch of government over the others. We would pay as we go rather than borrow from our grand children for the things we do today. There would be no stagnation or stepping backward we would move forward into the 21st Century.

I hope one party doesn't fully control all 3 branches. Look at how the dems messed up from '93 to '95. That is what got the republicans in. Look at how the reps have messed up from '01 to '07. That is what got the dems in. I think the best gov't is the one that passes the fewest ammount of laws possible. When a party controls all 3, they'll pass what they want and when they want with as much pork as they can justify.

It wouldn't be too long..... I'm guessing about six months.
Hey, if they do, we can always move to Australia or something....... or we can rebel and beat the crap outta them....... oh, wait, they'll have taken away our guns. Maybe we'll just have to resort to making sure they don't gain power.
